I believe in the joy of angels’ laughter;

smiling on God’s saints Sunday morn,

singing hymns, laughing in chorus,

praising Jesus,

to Whom they are sworn.

Even mere and mortal,

laughter repeatedly rebounds as the highest cloud allows;

tickling angel voices,

proclaiming PerfectTruth as they bow.

Welling with tears,

while laughing as angels,

inspires wonder right here on the ground;

bewildering others in collective voice:

a chorus of heavenly sound.

But Heaven doth know Emanuel

abides watchfully even as she may roam;

perched upon her and within her,

a taste as sweet,

as honey to the comb.

And angels cease in their banter

to harken the lilt in her song,

laughing like sweet angels,

her countenance brightens

and heart beats ever strong.

Just look at her demeanor!

She brings brightness to each new day,

those who walk in her example

do not worry she will falter

or carry them off—

astray…...

Not that any mere mortal

could ever reach perfection,

AS HE!

Still angels laugh above us

in good tidings,

and supernatural glee!
