One Way to Be Healed
by Tonja Taylor 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. 8 This will bring healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.--Proverbs 3:7-8, The LORD's will is for us to be healed and whole in every dimension of life--for the blood of King Jesus paid for it on the cross! Hallelujah! Here is one way to appropriate what Jesus already did: Ask the LORD what you need to change. As true Believers in Christ, we have LORD Jesus, the Holy One, inside of us. Through His Holy Spirit, He is continually working to make us more like Christ. This always involves change. Sometimes, the LORD will instruct us to stop eating or drinking certain things, because they are harming our bodies and preventing or hindering healing. Sometimes, He may guide us to start ingesting things like supplements, more water, or other substances that will help our bodies cooperate with the natural abilities to heal, that He sovereignly designed within our flesh. Other times, He may reveal to us roots of bitterness; anger; (wrong) jealousy (there is a righteous jealousy, as in Covenant marriage, etc.); envy; lust; covetousness; or other wrong junk based in the enemy's work, that has been blocking our healing. (Ask me how I know, but the LORD has been SOOOOO very gracious and patient and faithful and merciful to me through the years, and that is the way He is toward us all!) There are also times when a spirit of infirmity or other demonic roots of sickness or disease has caused an open door for the enemy to afflict a person. One's parent(s), or even an ancient ancestor may have opened a door to the destroyer, by participating in witchcraft or rebellion or worship of anything or anyone other than the true God, the LORD Jesus Christ; whatever would be against our holy God. God’s Word, the Holy Bible, is His perfect will for us. The LORD says, in Proverbs 3:7-8, (Berean Standard Bible), to 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. 8 This will bring healing to your body, and refreshment to your bones. Learning to tell the difference between good and evil can be taught by leaders in our lives (parents, pastors, teachers, and others who influence us), but the main Teacher is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, Who forever leads us in right paths for the Name’s sake of the LORD, and Who will never, ever lead us wrong. He can’t! He is the Spirit of Truth, and He is pure, praise the LORD! 13 However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.--John 16:13, Berean Standard Bible The first thing we can do is--even before we know the root of the problem--repent on behalf of our sins and our relatives' and ancestors' sins, and ask the LORD to forgive us. He is very merciful, and His mercy prededes His judgment, thank goodness! He is not willing that any should perish (die, meaning physically, but even more, He never wants anyone to be eternally separated from Him forever, which is the ultimate death (for all that refuse to accept Christ Jesus as Savior and LORD, no matter how many good things they do on earth!)). 17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” --Matthew 4:17, Berean Standard Bible Yes, King Jesus will very soon return to earth to retrieve all of us who truly believe in and follow Him. Hallelujah! We will be rescued completely out of this crazy, dark world, and taken to our true Home--Heaven, the Kingdom of Light! 12 “Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." -- Revelation 19:12-13, Berean Standard Bible So, while we are still on earth working our our Divine Assignments, let us walk in strength and health and wholeness, to the glory of God! He is good, and all His ways are good, and He suffered the sickness, illness, disease, and infirmities and weaknesses on the cross, so we don't have to! …10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever. 11 The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.--Psalm 29:10-11, Berean Standard Bible One Scripture you can read and quote to yourself daily (even several times a day!), to remind yourself of the Truth--especially when the enemy tries to make you sick, or tells you you'll die, or will never get well, etc. etc. (whatever lie), is Isaiah 53:5 (Berean Standard Bible): 10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever. 11 The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace. Know this: that just like any loving parent, God wants His kids well! He has made the way through Jesus for us to be healed--in every dimension of life. Hallelujah, it's for you--today!
