The Farmer
by PamFord Davis God didn’t curse Adam for eating forbidden fruit; he cursed the ground he’d have to work. “Then to Adam He said, ‘Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; Do you know a farmer? They diligently work the ground; some might grow wheat for the bread you find at your mom & pop grocery or supermarket. Think of farmers as you pull loaves off the shelves and drop them into grocery carts. God has not forgotten the farmer or his hard work. “The Lord will command the blessing for you in your barns and in everything that you put your hand to, and He will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you (Deuteronomy 28:8 NASB).” Published articles in Mature Living Magazine, Devotions for the Deaf, The Secret Place, Coosa Journal, Mary Hollingsworth's The One Year Devotional of Joy and Laughter, Jo Krueger's Every Day in God's Word. http://www.pamforddavis.com http://www.faithwriters.com/member-profile.php?
