Waits to Hear
by PamFord Davis

It’s so easy to limit God; we put Him in an imaginary box with walls of our own making. He often breaks through and works in ways exceeding our wildest expectations. Why do we hinder His intervention in circumstances and problems?

Our lips confess that all is possible through Him, but our faith is small.

Confidence in His power diminishes as troubles mount. We believe that He can do all things: He heals the sick, restores marriages and gives deliverance from debt and so much more. Yes, He answers the urgent prayers of others but will He answer ours?

Have we asked for His help?

“You do not have because you do not ask (James 4:2b NASB).”

Is anything too difficult for God?

Is there anything that the Father can’t do?

Absolutely nothing; zilch, nada!

"Oh, Lord God! Behold, You Yourself have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You (Jeremiah 32:17 NASB).”

Nothing is impossible for our Lord. He waits to hear our sincere requests.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7 NASB).”

Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe in Your power and want to trust You more.
