Caution-Bridge Out Ahead

Pity the driver that doesn’t know how to read. Don’t pity those that ignore the warning so clearly marked. The Bible is full of promises that aren’t claimed; it also has warnings that are ignored and go unheeded. The Lord isn’t a killjoy. He warns us against sinful behaviors because they bring disaster and death.

Caution-Danger Ahead

“For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:20-23 ESV).”

God used Apostle Paul to warn Christians against false teachers. Paul learned how easily believers are led astray.

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:6-7 ESV).”

We can’t say that we haven’t been warned.
