Oh, reach up and touch it!

Sense it in the air,

for, Heaven will soon call us home!

Abound in love with eyes open,

as the writing on the wall puffs like foam!

Just as Jesus spoke it will happen,

everyone I pray look up away from here,

because our redemption is coming

close enough to declare that

heaven is NEAR!

We’re living in that time,

when age is irrelevant,

and sickness will not shorten life,

when hunger is growing for the lost

and God’s children overlook offenses,

and strife.

For this is the time

when Jesus may show up at any moment

to rescue us from impending hell,

so believers beware and get busy

for so quickly they are slipping away

who we may tell!

For when the headlines resemble evil,

and marriage promotes white supremacy

is what we read,

we know that Jesus is getting closer

to ending all

heartache, illness and need.

OH, COME LORD JESUS, COME!
