Try These If You Are Tired
by Tonja Taylor

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. - James 1:5, NLT

Sometimes, more caffeine is not the answer.

Sometimes, you just need to turn off the electronics and get more sleep. You deserve it, and you need it.  God gives us His own sweet sleep!

Sometimes, you need to avoid things and people that upset you. Your spirit and soul can be drained in an atmosphere of strife, and you may not even realize it.

Stopping to thank the LORD and acknowledge that He is your Strength is the ultimate. Also, sometimes, more water, or more good protein, or even stepping out to get fresh air and sunshine for a few minutes are what you need to perk you up!

The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. - Psalm 29:11, NKJV

Sometimes, you just need to tell God (and yourself!) that He cares for you, knows every detail of your life before you live it, and is working it all out for your best, somehow, because He is your Father (as long as you have repented of your sins, and asked the LORD Jesus, His Son, to forgive and cleanse and heal you, and be your Savior and LORD, of course).

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. - I Peter 5:6-7, NKJV

He is good, and loves you, no matter what!

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. - Jeremiah 31:3, NKJV

Sometimes, it is a matter of repentance; you may have hidden bitterness or unforgiveness in your heart, or even condemnation, where you feel guitly, like you don't deserve God's best, etc. (Ask me how I know!)

Thank goodness the LORD knows every moment of our lives ahead of time, and that we are born predisposed to sin. Just like an erring child needs to ask forgiveness of their parents for breaking the rules, how much more do we? God is very gracious and patient, slow to anger, and abounding in love and mercy.

They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them, - Nehemiah 9:17, KJV

He is for us! He is also holy, and He is the Standard.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: - Hebrews 9:27, KJV

Yet, none of us can ever keep it, and that's why we all need the only true Savior, Jesus Christ, His Son!

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, - Romans 3:23, NASB95

for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” – Romans 10:13, NASB95

Jesus truly is our Strength, and once you receive Him as Savior and LORD, He is your Help. He is your Wisdom. He will give you ideas and leadings in various ways, to increase your strength as you listen to Him and follow His direction.  He is faithful!
