SOUL DANCE (excerpt): How to Stop Being Stupid and Get Smart
by Tonja Taylor …righteousness delivers from death.--Prov 10:2 I bet you've "kicked yourself" like I have--after doing something UNwise (read: stupid, dangerous, against God), even knowing better. The positive of this is that, we can learn from our mistakes and not make them again; break the cycles and kill the roots of what's causing the wrong behavior. I am not an ordained minister, but I know what the LORD's taught me; how He's helped me, my husband, and others I know to truly be delivered from anti-God (read: destructive!) habits and other things not pleasing to the LORD, and start having days of Heaven on earth! Hallelujah! Trust me; it is so worth it to ask the LORD to help you "remove the rubble" (Nehemiah So, to truly stop being stupid, and start being smart (wise, to the glory of God), you must be righteous. True righteousness only comes not by being "good enough" by good works and abstaining from evil, but by repenting of your sin (which every human is born into, by default, since Adam and Eve betrayed God in the Garden of Eden; Genesis 3), asking God to forgive you and cleanse you by believing in the LORD Jesus Christ, Who shed His blood on the cross to pay the sin debt none of us could pay (John 3:15-17), and then following God's Word (His will for you) with all your heart, body, mind, soul, and strength! True righteousness only comes by being covered by the blood of Jesus, for He became our sin and made us His righteousness (I cannot truly fathom those facts, but I believe them! Hallelujah!); not any other way! But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. -- Romans 5:8-11, NASB95
Christ Jesus paid the price for us all, because He loves us and wants us to be free and healed and healthy and whole and abundantly supplied and protected and directed in every way, for the best life possible. He is the good, good Father, and His Plan was always a wonderful life, from the start!
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.--John 10:10, NASB95
So once we receive Christ, true repentance--proof that we really have become a new creation in Him--is demonstrated in our lives by us not going back to the old wrong ways, but following Christ by reading and doing His Word; praying (just talking to Him every day, through the day, for His Holy Spirit lives in the heart of every true Believer in Christ Jesus from the moment we truly receive Him, and He cares about every detail of our lives! Hallelujah!); attending a Bible-believing church; worshiping Him with our time, gifts, service, money, and every part of our lives (for we now belong to the Royal Family of God, and are in blood covenant with God, Jehovah, through His Son, Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!).
This also means that we make changes in our lives as the LORD shows us more about what pleases Him and what does not.
We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. - I John 4:6, NKJV
God is not Zeus!(Zeus is against God!)
God--Elohim, The God Who creates and sustains the world and all life!--hates wickedness, for it hurts us, His creation.
God is Love (I John 4:8)! He is the perfect (Greek "agape") Love we all truly want, and once we receive His Son, LORD Jesus, God is no longer angry with us!
For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you. -- Isaiah 54:9-10, NKJV
Hallelujah! God's mercy preceeds His judgment, amen!
For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. - James 2:13, NKJV
He is very gracious and patient, and helps us wonderfully and kindly on our journey to know Him more. He knows we have to be cleansed in our souls (mind/will/emotions) from the darkness and deception of this crazy world, and He helps us do that by learning and reading and speaking and living His eternal, unchanging, life-giving Word, the Holy Bible! Hallelujah!
Guard my soul and rescue me; Do not let me be ashamed or disappointed, For I have taken refuge in You. - Psalm 25:20
We are a new creation and part of the Royal Family of God, from the moment we receive Christ Jesus as our Savior and LORD. However, we have to be trained in the ways of Heaven, by the Word of God.
It doesn't matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. - Galatians 6:15, NLT
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV
So now, when things get rough and tough, we can cry immediately to our dear Father God, and His Spirit will answer us, comfort us, guide us into all Truth
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. - John 16:13, NKJV
If you have truly received Christ Jesus as your Savior, then God is your Father, and He will hear when you cry to Him in earnest respect and appreciation.
LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear...-- Psalm 10:17, NKJV It is wisdom to seek the LORD, and it's the LORD's Holy Spirit that is continuously drawing us to Himself in many ways. For instance, He drew you to read this and learn more about how to be successful in life--by following Him! Hallelujah! Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. - Isaiah 55:6, NKJV Call to Him, and He will answer. It may be in a way different than you expect, but He will answer! Then be sure and thank Him for His love, for every good thing in your life--insluding every breath!--is a gift from Him! He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. -- Psa 91:15, NKJV
It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear. --Isa 65:24, NKJV
God is faithful, forever! He loves you and wants you to know Him even more. He wants you to have a smart, successful life in every way!
