A Day Of Good News

[9]Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king’s household.” 2 Kings 7:9 New King James Version NKJV.

The above are words from the mouth of four lepers who discovered a place where their people could find relief from the famine ravaging their land. The relief ground turned out to be the camp of their enemies who were frightened by the Lord to run away from the place.

The lepers resolved not to be quiet about what they had seen and touched. They saw what could bring the suffering of their people to an end, so they could not afford to be silent about it. They went to the right place where the King would be informed that he could proclaim the availability of food for everyone to hear.

They fear God Who could punish them if they keep quiet about the good work that the Lord has done to feed His people.

Do you fear the Lord your God as his child? Do you remember that He has commissioned you to be His witness after you have received the Holy Spirit and power? (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18). How far have you been obedient to this (His) instructions? Do you ever imagine that He can punish a lazy child who fails to please Him? He loves you unconditionally but He wants you to be occupied for Him by spreading the Good News to the whole world to be saved.

In Christ, each day is a day of GOOD NEWS, Let people hear it!

He has paid the price. The free food is ready. Invite people to come and eat. Do not enjoy the comfort that Jesus Christ offers alone, it will be selfishness. Tell others to come to buy from Him without paying any money. Be sure that you will not lose your rewards if you engage in spreading the Good News! The Lord is coming soon, prepare to meet Him.
