Immeasurable Strength
by PamFord Davis

Satan was throwing punches; yet, Paul didn’t duck or weave. He knew well the strengths of his opponent and his own weakness but had confidence in his trainer.

“And He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me (2 Corinthians 12:9 NASB).”

We might think that successful people are invincible…

They’d like us to believe that power and strength is synonymous.

In the scheme of things, I surmise that weakness contains immeasurable strength. The concept is illogical; yet, factual. Apostle Paul truthfully mastered this subject.

He had learned that strength is achieved through trust and submissiveness.

“Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in difficulties, in behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:10 NASB).”

Jesus never said that life would be easy.

“Indeed, all who want to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus will be persecuted (2 Timothy 3:12 NASB).

Never give up.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
