COMFORT OVER LOST LOVED ONES: Our Wait IS Almost Over!
by linzy bruno It’s never been more prevalent, young people are dying at a higher rate than ever recorded in history. And, whether the cause is medical, accidental or criminal, pain over our lost loved ones is always tremendous, especially in the instance of childhood deaths; heartbreak is all-consuming. Moreover, given the current natural disasters that are going on down south, taking hundreds of lives, people are losing loved ones more than ever, sometimes even their entire families at once; therefore, the need for godly comfort has never been greater. And, moreover, being open to God’s Ways, understanding His End Times Plan has never been more urgently needed. This is even more profoundly the case when we consider that the recent tragedies that have unfolded have been ignored by our government. Individuals and churches and been the ones rising to the occasion of helping these poor people get basic necessities like food, water and medicine. This should alarm us, oh but wait a minute, they will NOT be able to continue hurting and killing us much longer! But, thank the LORD, there are a few members of congress that are brave whistleblowers indeed!— And, we have heard from the people who know that the government is ignoring them, because they are living through this tragedy!—
Further to that end, there is another aspect to all of the tragedy they are experiencing down there—some people are actually getting saved! They are realizing their need for GOD! Halleluiah!
But, for all of Christendom, there is a hope like no other, because for those of us who believe in Almighty God and believing family members, the knowledge of our nearing rescue brings great comfort just getting through day-by-day; doing all we can to separate ourselves from this evil world, as we continue in our countenance to look up in glorious anticipation of our Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds…… It’s so difficult living without those who have passed before us. But our Bibles do include words of encouragement for those grieving over lost loved ones and this kind of comfort increases with every passing day, because every day we draw closer to our reunion with them, not through death, but through the Rapture. Shouldn’t the comfort of this marvelous event, in which Paul so eloquently spoke, include more than just the comfort we can gleam from this wondrous expectancy? That is to say, the rescue from our own afflictions, pain, sorrow and so on. Because when we really think about it, we can also look forward to the Rapture in order to find comfort in missing those who have passed away; those believers who are in Heaven now, that's what Paul did for the Thessalonicans. And how much sooner is it for believers today? Very soon, we who believe will be in Heaven; reunited with everyone we knew, know today, and all the other beautiful believers we never had the chance to meet on earth. How incredible is it to know that our loved ones who have passed away before us are waiting eagerly for us to arrive in Heaven to be with them forever in a realm of paradise and perfect peace? And, how incredible to know that our rescue from these flawed human bodies is no near, so that soon we will be set free from all pain and suffering! The Lord knows how to bring His Comfort to His children, all we need to do is receive and acknowledge it in all believing and it is astounding how much better the LORD will make us feel! When we lose a family member today, being so close to the Rapture, we are afforded the tremendous comfort of this knowledge. Therefore, ought we not comfort one another with this reminder, as the Apostle Paul instructed us for the end result of peace and comfort for believers everywhere? The Comfort of Christ’s Coming “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” (1Thessalonians 4:13-18) “But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.” (1Thessalonians 5:8-11) NKJV
