The Greatest Government in the World

            As of this writing we are just a little over a week away from Election Day.  Man, what a time this has been.  Frankly, I’ll be glad when it is all over.  But will it really be over?  I remember as a child and even a teenager, when after elections, politics would, for all purposes, be put to bed and our elected officials would work together to get things done.  However, in today’s world once elected the incoming leader will first begin undoing all the previous administration had accomplished.  So, in essence, nothing really gets done.  It is politics all the time.

            But this article isn’t about our current election.  While I have my own personal convictions and beliefs, this article is about a coming government that will in truth be the greatest government this world has ever seen.  You see, while our own governments around the world grow worse and worse, a day is coming when this world will be ruled “with a rod of iron” by none other than Jesus Christ.  Isaiah prophesied of Christ, referring to this government when he wrote under the influence of the Holy Spirit, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever.  The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”  (Isaiah 9:6-7). 

            The day is coming when all our governments, including that of the United States of America, will become so corrupt (and we are nearly there now), that they will be anti-Christian, anti-God and anti-Christ.  In fact, one referred to in scripture will take rule and will lead this world toward the devil in the name of religion.  Just because someone says they are religious doesn’t mean that they believe in or are obedient to Jesus Christ.

            While our governments around the world in this present age move ever closer to World War III (whether it is a rumor or becomes an actual war – see the words of Jesus in Matthew 24:6 and Mark 13:7) the unrest of the citizens of every civilization will grow closer to panic.  This will open the door and lead to the acceptance of a world leader who will be able to somehow bring order to all the chaos we are even now going through. That’s how he will take power.  He won’t just stand up and announce that he is the Anti-Christ because all who know anything about the Bible will say, “No way!  We aren’t going there!”  He will be wise and ease into his position.  He will have the words people want to hear.  He will entertain and influence world-wide acceptance.  And one day we will wake up and he will have control of the entire world.  You can read about him in Revelation.

            But he cannot win.  He will not conquer for the devil.  We are told that at just the right moment, that which has been appointed by God Himself, Jesus will appear in the clouds just like He left and will lay claim to the world.  The corrupt government of the Anti-Christ will be defeated and a time will begin with the greatest government the world has ever witnessed.  It sounds like a fairy tale to some.  Others may say that they have heard about this so long that they will believe when the see it.  Well, get ready to believe because I believe the world is getting ready to see it and very soon.  It will be perfect and will culminate in the happiness of all who have received Jesus as their Savior, those who have accepted Him in salvation.  No, not everyone will get to experience it.  You can call me fascist, bigoted, a racist or whatever you want, but it isn’t my word, it is God’s word.  If you aren’t ready than very frankly you won’t get to be there.

            How do you get ready?  Very simply by accepting Christ.  Believe that He died as the final sacrifice to pay for our sin, then believe that He rose from the dead thus conquering sin, death and hell.  Believe that He did this for you.  Accept Him as your savior and the Bible tells us that all doing that will be saved.  That’s it.  No war dance, no voodoo ritual, no other requirements.  It is just that simple.  But know this, if you really believe, you will live for Him.  Oh, you won’t be perfect and there will be days when you miserably fail Him.  But your new found love for Jesus will drive you to pick yourself up, dust off the seat of your pants and keep on going for Him.

            Get ready.  He is coming very soon.  His government will be the best this planet has ever witnessed.  I want to be a constituent.  How about you?
