Victory Over Ingratitude
by PamFord Davis

“Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God,
    for you have stumbled because of your iniquity (Hosea 14:1 ESV).”

I’m grateful for the wave of optimism on the home front. Our grumbling, distrust and disgust accomplished nothing; prayers prevailed. Many were cynical; feeling our nation was too far gone. Negative thoughts and despair hindered faith; with mercy, God heard and answered our prayers. We have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Have we reached a turning point?

Is America turning back to God? We have that choice.

“Therefore say to them, Thus declares the Lord of hosts: Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 1:3 ESV).”

Turn to God with a grateful heart.

God Bless America.

“Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving,
    and the voices of those who celebrate.
I will multiply them, and they shall not be few;
    I will make them honored, and they shall not be small (Jeremiah 30:19 ESV).”

Celebrate Thanksgiving with voices of victory over ingratitude.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1Thesalonians 5:18 ESV).’
