It’s Christmas Eve; reverently, you make your way into the dimly lit church sanctuary. Running late, you make it just in time for the candle light Lord’s Supper service. Slipping into a back pew you watch as the choir enters.
You’ve waited all year for this; the Hallelujah Chorus is worth the wait.
You’re so glad you didn’t miss it. Hearing the finale, you join the crowded church in a standing ovation.
Christmas joy and praise cannot be contained.
"And Mary said: 'My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior, because He has looked with favor on the humble condition of His slave. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed, because the Mighty One has done great things for me, and His name is holy (Luke 1:46-49 HCSB)."
Apostle John heard a Hallelujah heavenly chorus.
"After this I heard something like the loud voice of a vast multitude in heaven, saying: Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God, because His judgments are true and righteous (Revelation 19:1a HCSB)."
The best is yet to be fulfilled. Prepare to meet the groom.
“Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound of cascading waters, and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying:
Hallelujah, because our Lord God, the Almighty, has begun to reign! Let us be glad, rejoice, and give Him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has prepared herself (Revelation 19:6-7 HCSB).”
The church is Jesus’ bride. Hallelujah!
