."Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. And they came and drew water, and they filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.
Then the shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock." Exodus 3:16-17

Those who were before us on the surface of the Earth lived for us. What do I mean? Those who lived before us lived to leave a pattern, good or bad, to follow. Whoever follows a good pattern already knows the outcome of what happened to the person he copied. Ditto whoever follows a bad pattern.

After committing murder in Egypt to save his people, the Jews, he fled for his dear life. One thing could not be found lacking in Moses' life, that is prayer. I believe that he was led by the Holy Spirit to the land of the Midianites. On his way, he met a need by helping seven helpless sisters of the same father who were Shepherdesses.

The Shepherds would not allow the young ladies to water their flock on time. On this fateful day, Moses came to their aid. He helped them to satisfy their flock on time and the father of the girls noticed this. Moses' kindness in his troubles was announced to his benefactor, “An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds, and he also drew enough water for us and watered the flock.” Exodus 3:19.

The man, Jethro, a Midian Priest of the Most High God sent his daughters to invite him to eat. Food is always the first thing a man will need on his journey "to nowhere" in particular.

Not only this, but he was also given free accommodation in the man's house. He was also gainfully employed by the Priest because he became a Shepherd of the man's flock.

To crown it all, he was married to the first daughter of Jethro. He got more than what he bargained for. Kindness begot kindness.

If Moses added kindness to his prayers for great results, if you do the same, you will also reap the rewards. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
