RESTORATION
by Olawale Ogunsola

"Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted." Galatians 6:1.

There are lots of loaded lessons to learn from the above-quoted verse.
Let us briefly consider about three or four of such lessons:
1."If a man is overtaken". Before a man can be overtaken by a trespass, it must have been pursuing him. The devil must have been hunting him to bring him down before he was conquered.

2. It is only those who are spiritually matured should come in to restore him into faith again. Those are not spiritual, but will rather mock, belittle, judge, and condemn him. Whereas, restoration should be the goal of the brethren.

3. The restoration work must be carried out with humility without an iota of pride. This is because it is by the power and grace of God that those who remain standing are kept so.

4. If the arch-enemy of man could catch one person among the brethren, he would not be tired of carrying out his nefarious activities. It is only the Lord that prevents him from succeeding with others. No one has the power to hold himself. Except the Lord and only the Lord Who can save His Saints from the hand of Satan. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
