I remember Dad.

Today was Dad's birthday. He was born in 1912 and died 24 years ago in 2002 (which would have made him 114 today). Time passes; memories linger.

Dad really enjoyed his meals and snacks.

Pancakes might top his list. Oh, how he enjoyed donuts! He went on and on about our home grown corn on the cob. Mom got tired of hearing it. Dad worked 2^nd shift as guard at General Electric in Syracuse and returning home relaxed while watching the Tonight Show or the late night movie. Just recently, I thought about his snacking after work. I recall his eating popcorn, Spanish peanuts or sardines and crackers.

Dad took a special liking to long walks, flashlights, honking his car horn and roll after roll of duct tape. He liked the simple things in life; a good western, the outdoors, animals and games of horseshoes with his neighbor Clint. Dad liked many things; he loved his family.

I remember Dad and I miss him.

I remember Jesus and I worship Him.

"For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come (1 Corinthians 11:23-26 KJV).”
