Planting Computer Seeds

"What I believe, is that there are no 'good' spells - they're all dangerous. Let me put it this way, you know when a box comes up when you're on the internet and it says 'you have a virus, click here to delete it'? Well, when you click on that box, you actually invite the virus to come into your computer - you can't choose a good virus or bad virus." "Maybe you're right. Maybe I should think about converting." Instant messaging, FaceBook, MySpace, chat rooms: As a teenager, you're fortunate to have the exciting ability to now enter into global opportunities to share your faith. You have friends all over the world who you may never meet in person, but you have an infinite number of open doors of opportunities to share your faith! The above portion of a conversation was one my son had last night on his computer. God opens doors of opportunity every day for him to share his faith. My son didn't tell his friend that her beliefs were wrong. He merely shared what he believes. And God brought the example of computer viruses to his mind to use to help her understand what he was sharing. God just wants us to share our faith and to let God's words speak through us; He causes the changes in people's hearts. With the one seed that my son planted last night, God has already begun to water in her heart. I told my son to be prepared for his next conversation with her since she may have questions on how to convert since she signed off before the conversation went further. As a teen, you live in an exciting world of amazing technology and the opportunities are infinite to share your faith with teens all around the world. Are you planting seeds of faith on your computer? I Corinthians 3:7 "It's not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What's important is that God makes the seed grow."
