Early Man Exchanges Paradise for Worldwide Catastrophe

Adam and Eve lived a life of luxury in the Garden of Eden.
Life was filled with peace and happiness. Adam and Eve loved each other, and they loved the Lord from the depth of their spirits.
Fruits and vegetables grew to be gigantic in shape and size. Sunshine was plentiful, but there was no rainfall. We're told in Genesis 2:5-6, "And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground."
The couple sinned against God and were kicked out of Paradise.
Later, in the days of Noah, a population explosion was accompanied by an epidemic of evil. Genesis 6:5-7 states, "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them."
Verses eight and nine of Genesis six describes Noah's character from God's viewpoint: "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God."
God gave directions to Noah for building an ark. Noah was also instructed to take seven pairs of all clean animals and one pair of unclean animals, as well as adequate food supplies, into the ark.
For 40 days and 40 nights heaven's windows sent a deluge upon the earth. Eventually, the rain stopped and, over time, the waters receded. A majestic multi-colored rainbow appeared, a signal of God's promise to never again destroy the earth by flood.
Relieved that their ark ride was over, Noah and his family were ready for their first post-flood meal. They spoke of their experiences during their ordeal. "It sure feels good to have the earth under my feet again," said Shem, one of Noah's sons.
"It sure does," Shem's wife replied. "I'm glad it's all over."
"There was lots of noise," said Ham, another of Noah's sons. "Some of the raindrops sounded like they were as big as cats and dogs."
Ham's wife disagreed. "No, sweetheart," she said. "It sounded more like lions and bears!"
