Man Will Miss His Experiences from 2015 in the Coming Year

Roy was sad that 2015 was almost over.
"Soon, 2015 will be relegated to history," Roy lamented to himself.
"My 45th birthday was on Jan. 1 of this year," he told Pastor Reece, the minister of the church he attended.
"My wife's birthday was on Feb. 2," he told the pastor. "Rita will never be 43 again."
In March, Roy celebrated his 20th year as an accountant. "I'll never be able to experience that day again," he told Reginald, his supervisor.
"The first day of spring 2015 is also gone forever," Roy complained to himself. "It was the best first day of spring ever."
Roy fondly recalled the first heavy rainfall of 2015. "I collected a jar full of water as the rain was falling, so I'll have a constant reminder of that wonderful day," he told Pastor Reece.
"I keep the jar with me all the time. If I get thirsty and there's no other water supply around, I'll still have something to drink.
Never again will I hear my daughter, Rena, say "'Happy Father's Day 2015, dad."'
"And you'll never hear me say, "'Happy anniversary on June 12, 2015, again,'" said Rita.
"This Fourth of July was the best ever," Roy thought to himself. "Yes, sir, this Independence Day was super terrific. The fireworks were absolutely spectacular."
Roy relayed his thoughts about the fireworks to Rita, who agreed with his sentiments. "And the colors were so brilliant, too!" she added.
Thanksgiving Day had always been very special to Roy and Rita, ever since their wedding 22 years ago. Instead of the usual turkey, ham sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie and sweet potato pie, both Roy and Rita insisted on eating a smaller meal, homemade soup and bread. They donated the money they would have spent on the extra food to their local homeless shelter.
"The Lord has abundantly blessed us, so we want Him to use us to bless others," Rita said.
"But we will never again be able to experience the blessing of sharing Thanksgiving 2015 with others," Roy complained.
More than anything in their lives, Roy and Rita were thankful to be living their lives as Christians. "Living for the Lord is the best life ever," Roy told Pastor Reece. "But as with everything else in my life, I am sad I can't experience again my days as a Christian in 2015."
Suddenly, a smile exploded across Roy's face. "I just got an idea, Pastor Reece," he said. "The first day of 2016 is only a few days away. I think I'll quit thinking so much about the year that is about to end, and start concentrating on all the blessings I have waiting for me in the year ahead!"
