JESUS IS HUMAN!

by Tonja Taylor
2/10/2022 / Salvation

Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father’s] presence.--Colossians 1:22, AMPC

Hallelujah!

When I saw this verse in Colossians weeks ago (even though I've read the Bible many times through the decades), it really touched my heart. Even today, while meditating on it (thinking about it over and over, and speaking it out loud in wonder and thanksgiving), I was overcome with amazement at the awesome Grace and Mercy of our Father God!

(Of course, He is only our Father if we receive His Son, Jesus, as our Savior and LORD; by believing that He came as a human; was crucified as a human Man where He shed His pure blood to pay for our sins on the cross; was resurrected as a human man by the power of God; and will return soon to take all who believe in Him to Heaven!)

He could have done--nothing. When God created the Garden of Eden, it was perfect (Genesis 1). He created and put in motion all Adam and Eve would need to have a free, satisfying, fruitful, abundant, protected life, and then created them and put them in the beautiful Garden. They were to tend it and keep it, be fruitful and multiply, and have dominion (power) over everything.

Then they listened to the enemy, the deceiver, and lost everything.

God could have left them--and the rest of the human race--destined for hell.

Instead, in His infinite mercy, faithfulness, and grace, He sent Jesus at the proper time. He sent Jesus to be born of a virgin, as a human. Everything Jesus did--miracles included!--was as a human man, not God.

That brought tears to my eyes (again) today, as I worshiped and thanked Him for intervening for the human race.

He did it as a human, in a human body.

No matter what others say about Him coming in spirit only or such, the truth is, God sent Jesus to become a Man and live as we do, suffering every temptation but never sinning; resisting sin as a Man!

Then, He went to the cross for us, as a Man (John 3:15-17). He paid the price no other human could pay. But by what He--a human Man --did, we can choose to receive His almost unbelievable Gift, and be saved, and allow His blood to cleanse our lives; to make us "holy in His (God's) sight, without blemish and free from accusation."

Hallelujah!

Jesus said that we humans who received Him as LORD and Savior and believed Him would do what He did and more!

Hallelujah!

Because Jesus did this for us, we can become children of God--know and love and follow and be blessed by Him on earth, then go to be with Him and Jesus forever in Heaven, when our physical bodies die. Our bodies will be resurrected; glorified; and reunited with our spirits. We will be with Him forever!

Hallelujah!

To finish, I want to share Luke 1:73-75 (AMPC) with you: 73 That covenant He sealed by oath to our forefather Abraham: 74 To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our foes, might serve Him fearlessly 75 In holiness (divine consecration) and righteousness [in accordance with the everlasting principles of right] within His presence all the days of our lives.

So, once we receive the Son, Christ Jesus, as our LORD and Savior, we become children of God, and have no more need to fear, for we are made righteous--holy; free of accusation or blame--in the sight of our Father God, forever!

Hallelujah!

To believe in Him means we must believe He was born, lived, was crucified and buried, resurrected, and ascended (lifted up) to Heaven in a human body! And that is how He shall return, not very long from now! Hallelujah!

And behold, I am coming speedily. Blessed (happy and to be envied) is he who observes and lays to heart and keeps the truths of the prophecy (the predictions, consolations, and warnings) contained in this [little] book.--Revelation 22:7, AMPC

Will you be ready?
