Perilous Times

by Rochelle Arnold
3/15/2022 / Prophecy

In the last days the Bible says that there will be wars and rumors of wars, “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken,” When you hear of wars and disturbances [civil unrest, revolts, uprisings], do not panic; for these things must take place first, but the end will not come immediately.” (Luke 21:26 Amplified)

Things to Come

Then Jesus told them, “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and [deadly and devastating] pestilences (plagues, epidemics); and there will be terrible sights and great signs from heaven.

“But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, turning you over to the synagogues and prisons, and bringing you before kings and governors for My name’s sake. This will be a time and an opportunity for you to testify [about Me]. So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; for I will give you [skillful] words and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute. (Luke 21:10-12 Amplified)

False Christs

The Scriptures also speak of this time when there will be many false prophets or false Christs. There will be those who will teach and preach doctrines of demons. One such place is 1 Timothy 4:1: “The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons” (NASB). The King James Version words it as “seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons.” A doctrine is a teaching or a set of principles. The “doctrines of demons,” then, are things that demons teach.

These doctrines are designed to get people off track in either pride or disparity. Sometimes the doctrines even sound good and right but they definitely do not line up with Scripture. Satan comes as an angel of light to deceive many, and he uses men and women who do not understand or interpret the Bible correctly. These demonic teachings spread to other areas of our lives that can lead to apostasy and the falling away of those who confess to believe in Jesus Christ.

Hearts Fail or Fall Away

I believe we are living in the last days, and nobody knows exactly when Jesus will come again, because it is a divine secret. However, we can discern the signs of the times and use wisdom to be able to understand the current events. There is a real evil in our world that is directed by Satan and his minions. The Bible says we do not battle against flesh and blood, but we wrestle with wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12) What that means is that demons are real, and they influence mankind in destructive ways.

“And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars; and upon the earth distress among nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring. Men’s hearts will fail them for fear and for looking upon those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:25-28)

The Spirit of Pharmakeia

Pharmakeia which means the use and administration of drugs is a term that we can find in the Bible. One of the meanings of pharmakeia is the use of drugs and potions as likened to sorcery or witchcraft. “For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery (pharmakeia). And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth.” (Revelation 18:23-24) Has anyone else noticed the unprecedented death rates of healthy people by way of heart attacks and strokes. Even young people are having strokes and blood clots. But what could be causing this sudden increase in unnatural deaths and disabilities. Could it be that the spirit of pharmakeia is being used in new drugs and vaccines?

There is a weird censoring going on within the media and the whole world that denies or keeps quiet about this destruction. But even insurance companies are reporting an astonishing increase in deaths over the past two years. All drugs have side effects and some of those are deadly. Do your research and quit hiding your head in the sand. Pfizer was ordered to release their studies and reports on the COVID-19 vaccines and guess what? There are nine pages of serious side-effects that they were hoping to hide for the next 75 years from the American people.

Satan Comes to Kill and Destroy

So Jesus said again, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I am]the Door for the sheep [leading to life]. All who came before Me [as false messiahs and self-appointed leaders] are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not hear them. I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security). The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (John 7:7-10 Amplified)

Satan is the father of all lies and there is no truth in him. He will do whatever he can to destroy you and your family, but Jesus comes to give us life and life more abundantly. Choose wisely! The last days are here, and things may appear to be stable for a while because the Gospel must be preached throughout the whole earth, before the end comes.

The Return of Christ

“There will be signs (attesting miracles) in the sun and moon and stars; and on the earth [there will be] distress and anguish among nations, in perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea and the waves, people fainting from fear and expectation of the [dreadful] things coming on the world; for the [very] powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with [transcendent, overwhelming] power [subduing the nations] and with great glory. Now when these things begin to occur, stand tall and lift up your heads [in joy], because [suffering ends as] your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:25-28 Amplified)

But be on guard, so that your hearts are not weighed down and depressed with the giddiness of debauchery and the nausea of self-indulgence and the worldly worries of life, and then that day [when the Messiah returns] will not come on you suddenly like a trap;  for it will come upon all those who live on the face of all the earth.  But keep alert at all times [be attentive and ready], praying that you may have the strength and ability [to be found worthy and] to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man [at His coming].” (Luke 21:34-36 Amplified)

The Gospel

So here is your chance to hear the Gospel and to ask Jesus into your heart. The Gospel is good news and is simple to understand. Father God sent his only son to earth in the flesh to dwell among us. Jesus physically walked the earth and taught only what his Father showed him. When it was time for him to be crucified, he was so stressed out that he sweat blood. He was stripped and beaten, spat on and humiliated. He carried his own wooden cross to his own death. For God so loved the world that he sent his only son, whosoever believes in him will be saved.

We are saved by grace through faith and not by our righteous works. All of our works are like filthy rags to the Lord because we cannot earn our salvation. Jesus had to die and take upon himself all of our sins so we could be made right with God. The Good News is that we can live forever in eternity with Jesus simply by putting our faith and hope in him. We believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord.

Sinner’s Prayer

Dear Lord, I am a sinner and there is nothing good in my flesh, but you came to give us life and life more abundantly. I now believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that you are the Savior of the world, and no one comes to God the Father without entering through you. For you are the way, the truth and the life, the gate to Heaven and the way to eternal life. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior today. Amen.

Now study the Word of God for yourself and ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding. May you be baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit and recognize the members of the trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

For Those Who Believe

Mark 16:17-20: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” If there is anyone reading this who needs prayer or deliverance, please contact me at [email protected].
