Worrying Won't Help

There’s a bit of a chill; 49 degrees to be exact.

How about that? That’s the year I was born; I wonder if there’s any significance? Nah, that’s just a rabbit to chase. I’ll leave the chasing to hound dogs.

Dog gone; I’m silly this morning. Guess I needed a lighter mood.

I have concerns for loved ones and have had a heavy heart.

It’s easy to become overwhelmed; concern becomes worry and anxiety.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you (Philippians 4:6-9 NKJV).”

Concerns are real and normal; yet, worrying won’t help.

I need God’s peace.

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever (Psalm 138:8a NKJV).”
