You Are An Answer (4)

Going by a careful observations of what transpired between Prophet Elijah and the widow resident in Zarephat, from another perspective, inbed1 Kings Chapter seventeen, it will be clear that each person was also an answer or part of an answer to his or her prayer by taking the right steps, which no one can help either to take.

So, to receive an answer to your prayers, be prepared to be an answer or part of it. Let us consider a few of what you can do to receive an answer to your petition:
#Faith. You have to believe in God to Whom you present your request. If you doubt Him, you cannot receive anything from God. James 1 reveals,
"[6]But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
[7]Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord."
#Obedience. Follow the instructions of the Lord which come to you directly or indirectly from His faithful servants.
Isaiah 1:19 discloses,
"[19]If you will only obey me,
you will have plenty to eat."

#Endurance. This is one of the fruits of the Spirit that every child of God should possess. Galatians 5:22-23.
Many people have forfeited their privileges of answered prayers to inability to possess the fruits of the Spirit. Register it in your heart that your state will determine whether or not you will receive an answer to your prayers. You are a central factor.

#Persistence. This is another fruit of the Spirit that can help you in receiving answers to your prayers. You can read Galatians 6:6-10. Do not be wearied in doing what is right and acceptable to your God. It will be of great benefits to you and your generation.

Pay attention to the fact that both Elijah and the widow of Zarephat lacked nothing of the fruits of the spirit. The Lord who commanded the widow to feed the Prophet also commanded him to go to the woman she never knew to be with her for the rest period of the drought. It was well with all of them, including the son of the widow.

Are you available as answers to prayers? Be an answer today so that your prayers will be answered. Who you are has a lot to do with what God will do to you and your requests.

Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
