Kids from two through one hundred can all enjoy viewing a "Road Runner" cartoon! He was elusive and he was fast! I have, I guess what could be termed as "Road Runner" family connections. My mother-in-law likes them, and has a nice collection. We lived in both Texas and California; so we have seen many. They can be found in remote desert locations, or just strolling across a road.
Once when living in the California Coachella Valley, near Palm Springs, our daughter April had "A Close Encounter" with a road runner. There was a large round lake, with a wide dirt road around the shore line. It was nice for walking, jogging, or biking. While there, she saw a road runner, and decided to try and catch it.
They went around, and around... Her persistence paid off; because the road runner ran out of steam! Then she just picked him up, and brought him home to show us. We have it recorded in our old home movies. I guess it could qualify for "Rippley's Believe It, Or Not?" Yes, she was persistent!
The Lord shared a story encouraging us to persevere in prayer. (Luke 18:1-8) I like the phrase "Keep on, keeping on!" Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking! (Luke 11:8-10)
