Lay down your arms, and surrender! Such a command in a war movie is filled with emotions of hate, fear, and survival. Surrendering to the enemy is to be avoided at all costs! At times we learn of soldiers actually killing themselves rather than falling into the cruel hands of the enemy.


Satan brings such memories of conflict to our minds to twist the true blessings found in surrendering to our best friend, Jesus. He knows very well the moment we surrender our wills to the Lord, he will lose his hold on us. The more areas of our lives we submit to the Lordship of Christ the more freedoms we enjoy!


"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4: 7 NAS)." God is not an enemy to fear! We do not need weapons for self protection; lay down your arms, and surrender!
