Hearing the Word

Faith dresses up in words
from the pulpit
leaping across faces
about truth, forgiveness

silently thoughts reflect, thinking
of possibilities.

"Can the Lord truly help our
children change?"
a couple dares to think.

"Hope is eternal," says the Pastor
as if reading their thoughts.

Man and wife continue to pray.

"Stop that!" one child says. "Mom!
He's pinching me," the other whines.

"Help us make it through another
day," is a silent wish.
