"Follow the Leader" is a timeless childhood game which never goes out of date. Each youngster wants a turn as leader, offering them a few minutes of leadership and authority. Do you follow the leader? God places people over us to challenge and instruct us, giving guidance in our journey of faith.
Examples provided in scriptures clearly point the way. The prophet Ezra cried out, seeking the Lord in worship and confession in the presence of the fickle followers of God. They were touched and moved, choosing to follow their leader's example. (Ezra 10:1-4) They promised their support, forming a covenant. "Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also are with you. Be of good courage and do it (Ezra 10:4 NKJ)." Not only were they resolved to follow the leader; they challenged him to take action!
