JESUS
Your name is our prayer,
Our hope
Our escape from despair
Our fortress strong
Clothing ourselves
With Your righteousness
We dress
In mighty armour of God
Only then can we walk
As we go forth
To Jesus talk
In our Jerusalem
We fail
And often times
We flail
BUT JESUS
Only with You
Our flesh has bones
And we can stand
Your strength coming through
And we owe it all
To You
Our life a debt
To only You.
Without Jesus
Why do hopes fly
At such a height and speed
That their sonic boom
Is always too late
For them to hear
And too far behind
To make a difference?
Blind
Blind is mankind
Who worships the created
More than the Creator
Blind is man
Who loves himself or another
More than the Father of the universe.
Hopelessness II
Sometimes I wonder if I'm looking for Christmas
Not realizing that December 25th
Has been erased
From the calendar
For the rest of my life.
