Walking on water (heretic encounter)

Hi people today I heard a great message at a joint Church meeting, we had an outside speaker who is a veteran in God's Word & delivered a great message. However, I would like to share something with you folks that nearly caused me to stumble.

Last week I posted an article to you all on the Holy Trinity. I post my articles to everyone, no discretions made. I felt the article was brilliant and written under the power of the Holy Spirit. I however got a reply from a non believer, who said that he was impressed by my search for the truth & that I was coming closer to his heretic fate. He seemed to have written with great confidence but I had my doubts that he had written out of reaction, may be my article may have made more sense to him than expected or may be Jesus spoke to him through the article & these were not in line with his views from his upbringing. Coming back, when he said that I was coming closer to what he considered to be true (heresy), I was taken aback. I then read my article from his (what he's been taught) point of view & I was shaken. The message I intended when I wrote the article was not the message I got when I read it from his view point. It was like looking at a loyal and faithful dog, an animal that is known never to bite the hand that cares for him (something we cannot say about man himself) but looking at that dog from his point of view, that dog stood unclean & condemned according to the god he followed.

I admit I was shaken. I then prayed to Jesus and asked Him to save me from this blasphemous view. The scripture that God delivered to me was that of the Apostle Peter walking on water. Allow me to quote it for you.

Matthew 14:22:32
22 Then Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people away. 23 After sending the people away, he went up a hill by himself to pray. When evening came, Jesus was there alone; 24 and by this time the boat was far out in the lake, tossed about by the waves, because the wind was blowing against it.
25 Between three and six o'clock in the morning Jesus came to the disciples, walking on the water. 26 When they saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. "It's a ghost!" they said, and screamed with fear.
27 Jesus spoke to them at once. "Courage!" he said. "It is I. Don't be afraid!"
28 Then Peter spoke up. "Lord, if it is really you, order me to come out on the water to you."
29 "Come!" answered Jesus. So Peter got out of the boat and started walking on the water to Jesus. 30 But when he noticed the strong wind, he was afraid and started to sink down in the water. "Save me, Lord!" he cried.
31 At once Jesus reached out and grabbed hold of him and said, "How little faith you have! Why did you doubt?"
32 They both got into the boat, and the wind died down. 33 Then the disciples in the boat worshipped Jesus. "Truly you are the Son of God!" they exclaimed.

Here are some amazing Spirit inspired parallels that Jesus showed me between Matthew 14:22-32 and my incident.

1. When I wrote that Holy Trinity article under the power of the Holy Spirit, I felt like the Apostle Peter in verse 28-29 but an encounter with these heretic views was like the strong wind that made me afraid and so like the great Apostle Peter I began to sink & also like the apostle Peter, I cried out to my Lord.Jesus.
2. In verse 31 Jesus reached out for Peter & said, "How little faith you have! Why did you doubt?". They then both walked on water and got into the boat. As for me, I felt Jesus tell me the same "Why did you doubt" I then felt an unusual sense of victory over these heretic views that were plaguing me & just as the water which Apostle Peter was drowning in was suffocating and killing, it was the same to me with these views.
3. Also just as when Jesus reached for Peter and pulled him up, the water which was suffocating him then only stayed beneath his feet, in the same way when I felt Jesus reach for me and pull me out of these blasphemous views, the sense of victory I felt was as though these falsified views remained only beneath my feat.
4. Just as Apostle Peter may have not been able to explain scientifically how from drowning he started to walk on the same water, in the same I to can't explain my sense of victory over these heretic view.
5. All that Apostle Peter could have said would have been Jesus saved me & I say the same.
6. Just as Apostle Peter walked over this water that nearly killed him, into the boat (safe home) with Jesus, in the same way I to felt as though I walked with Jesus into safe keeping, both of us walking over these heretic views which tormented me.

I then realized that the work of this heretic was the work of Satan himself. This guy was polite while inducing his heresy into me, which was something like Satan using a screw driver (technique) & not a hammer (force) to remove a screw firmly placed into a wall (God's Word).

I feel victorious because I feel Jesus has got a firm hold on me. Just like how He (Jesus) holds up the whole universe just by the power of His (Jesus') word (Hebrews 1:3); I feel he does the same for me. Just like king David called out to the Lord to be rescued (Psalm 59:2; Psalm 143:11). I called to Jesus (my God) and He rescued me (2Timothy 4:18; Luke 1:73) from this heretic fate (Psalm 49:15). It is not me by myself who is victorious over this heresy but it is my God (Father Son & Spirit) who is victorious. Hallelujah (Praise God) Amen.
