Keys to Successful Prayer

1)KNOW beyond any shadow of doubt that the believer has authority over the enemy and then USE it liberally. (Luke 10:19-19, James 4:7)
2)Learn to speak to the "mountain" (ANY problem or situation) about your God, such as Jesus speaking to a fig tree causing it to die (Mark 11 with application in vs. 22-24, Jesus commanding Lazarus to "Come forth" (John 11) and Peter telling Dorcas/Tabitha to "arise." (Acts 9:40). Remember that God already KNOWS our situation so telling Him about it can bring an emotional "release", but probably not the answer we have to take and use our authority in the Name of Jesus (Matt. 28:18-20).
3)Do not hesitate to get angry at sin and demons. We are commanded to "hate evil" (Pro 8:13, Psalms 97:10) and being sick, in poverty, having family problems,etc. is evil according to Deuteronomy 28 (these negatives are part of the curse).
4)As believers, we have the right to be free free of poverty, free from disease, free from family problems, etc.- and have an "abundant life" (John 8:36, 10:10). So if these conditions are present, the enemy is putting back under the curse we have been redeemed from (Gal. 3:13)
5)The Word of God is our ONLY offensive weapon against the enemy (Eph 6:17-18) so we must learn and then quote what God has said in His Word.

A sample prayer for healing: "Heavenly Father, I thank You for the power and authority that You have given me in the Name of Jesus Christ. I choose to use this authority to speak to this "mountain" of arthritis that is attacking my body {emphasize the words "I choose"}. I bind any and all demonic forces that are involved in causing this pain and discomfort. I speak to pain, swelling and inflammation and tell them to GO in Jesus Name! I am free of this and every other disease because Jesus has made me "free indeed!" It is in the Power of the finished work of Jesus Christ that I speak as a child of the most High God! In Jesus " Name I thank You. Amen."

A sample prayer for family situations: "Lord Jesus, You told us that we can have an "abundant life." But, the enemy is attacking me and my family through _______________ (name the situation). You have NO part in this situation and I know that You want me to be free of this care and I choose to cast all these cares on You NOW! I will leave them there with You and trust you with ______ [specify the person(s) involved]. I bind every demonic attack against us and I speak it forth that Truth will prevail. You will not violate a person's free will, but, Lord, You can speak Your Wisdom to them in a way that they will hear and begin to obey You. I thank You for Your great love for everyone in my family and I choose to walk in Your love and to help everyone I know to walk in it also. I speak and ask all these in the Name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. "
