Problems, Problems
by Pam Ford Davis 2/17/2010 / Devotionals
Are you sometimes left to shake your head, wondering why you have so many problems? A man views himself in the mirror with a heavy heart. There is never enough money to cover all the expenses. Thinking to himself he says: I work hard. I don't run around on my wife. I pay my taxes. Why can't I get a break? Most of us have similar thoughts cross our minds. We see slackers with fancy houses and shiny new cars; and we just can't understand why we suffer.
Jesus never promised us an easy life. "I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble. But be brave! I have defeated the world (John 16:33 NCV)." Problems, problems Everywhere I look I see problems. I can face them with defeat, or accept Jesus' promise of peace. He is bigger than all problems, and better equipped to fight them than me.
