where are you headed? Part 3

by beatrice ofwona

There will come time that God will send you back to those who said you could never make it. At this place of turn-around He will prepare a table for you in front of your enemies. The Samaritan woman met Christ and it was turn-around time for her; whereas people used to take from her before, they now heard from her the greatest piece of news they would ever hear in their lives; the story of salvation and of Jesus Christ. She, in her weakness and depravity, was used by the Savior himself to bring the good news to the Samaritan towns.

It is said that you will never know who your true friends are until you pass through the fires of tribulation. There are those that await your failure or even your back sliding but God is faithful and He will put them to shame; they will come in one way but be scattered in seven different directions. He has promised in Deuteronomy 28:7 that your enemies will be defeated.

The Israelites were blessed, not because they were good, but because of God's mercies. You, on the other hand are saved, not because of any works that you have done-that you may boast-but according to His mercies and determination. He is the one you should know and the only one that you should serve. The Israelites had enemies who sought to destroy them but they also had prophets who interceded to God on their behalf, sometimes even pleading that they may not be destroyed. Some rulers tried to employ the supernatural forces in dealing with the Israelites but they were unable to destroy this chosen people of God. In salvation we are like the Israelites protected and loved, we stand steadfast in the knowledge of the one we serve.

In John15:16 God reminds us that He chose us, we did not choose Him. We are chosen to manifest God's glory and to bear His love so that when others see us, they will run to this Christ. Many people only seek for a god that responds to their needs, our God is more than able and always willing to hear our pleas but always in alignment with His wishes for our lives.

The Lord will bless you and give you your hearts desires. If you ask for wisdom, He will grant that to you just like He did Solomon. From far and wide, rulers, queens and Kings came to witness the wisdom and wealth that was Solomon's. With God's wisdom you too will gain discernment such that those that plan evil against you will not succeed; even the Balaks of this world will not succeed in their curses against you. You will lend and not borrow money. He will bless you abundantly.

All you have to do is to obey His commandments. Show Him how much you love Him by being faithful to his Word. Start serving the living God by word and deed.

What hinders you from doing this, are you ashamed of your God?

May these words (sermons), from various men and women of God be a blessing to all.
