Emotions of Adversity

Who comes up against you

On this beautiful God given day?

It must be that devil

throwing mess over your way

Well bow your head and pray

and thank God above

because this only means

your blessings are on the way

See its simple what I am about to say

God's plan for you is like a relay

You try so hard to finish first

But sometimes get stuck along the way

Surely though I say

It's better to have tried

then simply run away

All of our trials save us

In their very own special way

teaching us patience

each and every day

For God has given us the tools

and surely makes no fools

So getting to the finish line

is more like school

You have to pay attention

you have to study hard

And most of all

Never stray too far

For God's love is abundant

and his grace is wonderful

being in his presence

Is just like heaven above

Trust me when I tell you

it all shall pass through

This adversity your facing

Is not the end of you

your spirit will surely

Conquer all you have to do

and your blessing in the making

On its way to you!

For God loves his children

and supplies all their needs

takes care of us so relentlessly

always showing by example

just how unselfish to be

after all he gave his son

to you and me

So look at the situation more closely

its not as bad as it seems

Now smile ever so gently

And let it go...

BE FREE...
