The life of a secret agent has been made glamorous in novels and in films. Many live a double life pledging loyalty to opposing sides. Those that place their trust in them may be awakened to stark realty. They were not only unworthy of confidence, but were their greatest threat cloaked in false friendship.
"While Jesus was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve apostles came there. He had a big crowd of people with him, all carrying swords and clubs. They had been sent from the leading priests and the older leaders of the people. Judas planned to do something to show them which one was Jesus. He said, 'The one I kiss will be Jesus. Arrest him (Matthew 26:47-48 ERV)." As a secret agent man, working under the direction of Satan, Judas betrayed the Lord with an empty kiss.
