Livestock often fall into bodies of murky waters, helpless and defenseless. A caring rancher pulls it out to safety. Time permitting he cleans the animal, helps it to get steady on its feet, then leads it safely back to pasture, or the security of a stall.
The Galatians were accountable for their actions. "Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day's out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived (Galatians 6:1-3 The Message). We show how much we care by reaching out to touch lives.
