We spend a great deal of time and energy on things that have little significance. I wonder how much time I've wasted trying to decide what to wear, or which purchase to make? I usually end up wearing the same favorite articles of clothes, and buy the lowest price generic to pinch pennies. I guess, all that really matters, is clothes should be clean and comfortable. Why am I stressed, I'll need to repeat purchase decisions during the next shopping trip.
Members of the early church, and many of us today, live in pursuit of whom or what is important. Paul, as spiritual leader and mentor challenged the churches to stay focused. "It doesn't matter if you are a Greek or a Jew, or if you are circumcised or not. You may even be a Scythian, and you may be a slave or a free person. Yet Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us (Colossians 3:11 CEV)." Our differences matter little, Christ in us That's all that matters!
