Let 'Past' be past
by Shemmie Y
9/10/2010 / Self Help
Brothers and Sisters....most of us have not had a very glorious past. We all have sinned in several degree, and many of us like myself have sinned against God a million of time if I should count them. None of them were glorious or worth-mentioning.
Yet, the love of Christ covers us, protect us from condemnation - the shooting arrow of the Evil One. His blood has cleansed us all. That we can indeed come boldly to the Throne of Grace and simply by prayer, our prayers reached to God's ears and He hears us. All through the name of Jesus.
There were still time, Satan's voice is still itching our ears, ringing out the bad things, wrong things we have ever committed before the Lord. Yes, the voice can sometime be very loud unto our ears, we tried to hide and still, hearing those noises....or through bad dream, reminding how ugly we once were....
Behold, brothers and sisters and remember our Great High Priest is for us, not against us.
Our past shall not be included in our 'present'. Let our 'past' be past and do not look back, or marvel at those things again, or dragged back into imagination or wrong thoughts again.
Let us all declare - The past is behind me. My future is bright and God's Promise is mine.
"He has a plan to prosper you and me, not to harm us, but to bless us." (my translation)
