I remember Mom's firm instructions, "Stay inside!" She knew what was best; I was sick and I needed to stay inside, away from the effects of cold winter weather. I could get wet or chilled and take a turn for the worse. Children are tempted to go outside and play before they are well, but a loving parent keeps them inside.
God, our loving Father implores us. " So now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears we may have boldness and not be ashamed before Him at His coming (1 John 2:28 HCS) "Stay inside!" Satan lurks outside with temptations and snares. We are secure when we abide in Christ and await His return!
