Publishers depend on efficient proofreaders. They do not want a finished work placed on a sales shelf with overlooked mistakes in spelling, grammar, or punctuation. Rare gems are cut and polished and literary treasures are edited and edited before the light shines through.
Writers feel the pain of the surgeons knife as words are cut away. The end result is a better article or story; proofreaders in precision perfect each assigned piece. Our lives are dramas, daily developed and edited by the One who knows what is best.
