What I Have I Give You

From birth he had never walked
Quite used to being mocked
With withered muscles
Great and many struggles

As he grew older
His requests became bolder
Not a penny to his name
Begging ceased to be a shame

Carried to the temple gate called Beautiful
Since his state was quite pitiful
Thought silver and gold he needed
Boosting self-esteem which receded

Twas noon time bright and shiny
Thought the religious had lots of money
Saw them and extended his hand
Hoping on it some silver to land

Eyes of his givers never his did meet
Content for coins to fall at his feet
But two men said look at us
Thought his fortune has come at last

Said silver and gold we do not have
Did not know why he did not laugh
Why would they stop to mock him
Life was hard enough on him

Looked straight into his eyes
As if offering something nice
What we have give us unto you
Better than silver and gold tis true

In the name of Jesus of Nazareth walk
Seemed this was no idle talk
As Peter took him by the hand
Strength to his feet did land

His ankles and feet became strong
That he would never ever walk was wrong
Jumping to his feet up and down he walked
As Jews around him truly truly gawked

Then Jumping and leaping and praising God
Who alone is ever worthy to be Lord
All glory honor majesty and praise
Who from the grave and tomb was raised
