Touchy Subject

"Ouch! Oh, that hurts"! This has been a week to remember; Saturday morning I stubbed a toe on my left foot against a pallet of watermelons in the grocery store. It hurt so bad I expected to see blood when I looked down. Grocery shopping is normally a painful experience because of high prices; I added to the pain! I limped around all day and bruised nearly half of the top half of my foot.

It still slowed me down on Sunday but the purple bruises matched my dress and I headed to our first day of evangelistic crusades in a community center with seating for over a thousand. As I scurried down a row of chairs, I stubbed my little toe on my right foot. Now, I have a matched set. The second injury was not as bad as the first but I am still in awe that it happened. I probably had not stubbed a toe in years and accomplished the feat of torturing both feet in two days.

Selection of shoes for painful feet is a touchy subjectI do not want to pinch my toes; if they could talk they would beg for peace at any cost. I am ready for a fitting. "As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15 NRS)." Paul detailed the armor of God in chapter six from head to toe. We are in a daily conflict with wicked spirits and must dress for battle; are steel-toed boots currently in fashion?
