A SON OR A DOG-PART 1

by John Seun
8/12/2011 / Salvation

I once visited the residence of a rich man in my community, and I saw one of his beautiful pets (a dog).

On enquiry, I found out that the dog had cost close to a thousand dollar as a puppy which has now grown to a mother dog.

It is very obvious that the owner cares so much about her considering the attention she enjoys. It was not just the highly nutritious food I saw before the dog that fascinated me but the fact that the rich man pays as much as $331 monthly to a veterinary doctor for a constant check up.

I was greatly vexed though when I heard that the dog which consumes so much money and attention only sleeps in a cage just by the gate, because I felt the dog should have been given one of the rooms in the big mansion.

It might interest you to know that you are not better than the dog referred to in the above story.

If you have not accepted CHRIST as your Lord and Saviuor you are a dog who will always be thrown out to face the cold of the night. No matter how good you think you look, how rich you may be, how powerful and comfortable you are, just like a dog, your place is outside. According to Revelation 22:15- '..without are dogs..'

'I am the door' Christ said in John 10:9. a son has access to all the rooms in his father's house and a say on the wealth of his father but a dog will always be limited to it cage and feeds on 'left over' (unfortunately, sons don't leave 'left-over' anymore). Imagine how much God paid to give you entrance to His mansion- the blood of His dearly beloved son- Christ Jesus.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1John3:1-2
See how much the Father has loved us! His love is so great that we are called God's children" and so, in fact, we are. This is why the world does not know us: it has not known God.2 My dear friends, we are now God's children, but it is not yet clear what we shall become. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he really is. 1John3:1-2 (Good News Bible translation)
The prodigal son knew he had to reconcile with his father to regain access to his father's house, you must reconcile with God now to regain your 'sonship' because the next minute might be too late (Matt 25:10). Christ said there is still room for you in His father's house, so hurry and collect yours now. Rev. 4:1; John 14:6.
If you are a liar or you cheat, deceive, kill, blackmail, fornicate, steal or any other wicked dealings, you are a dog and your place is outside the mansion.
'come unto me..' He said. Ponder your ways and return unto God and you will be glad you did. Matt 11:28-30.
The first step is to confess your sins, renounce them, and then meditate on the prayer in Matt.6:9-15.
After renouncing your sins, you need the key through the word of faith to open your own room in the mansion and enjoy rest. This key can only be delivered to you when you worship in a congregation that dwells on the preaching of the truth. Locate one today and remain blessed.
