When your heart is heavy,
and life's burdens have got you down.
When you're feeling sad and lonely.
and yet, there are people all around.

Draw near to God,
and He will draw near to you.
Draw close to the Lord,
and let His love come over you.

When your spirit is no longer willing,
and your mind has given up too.
When you body screams no more,
and you don't know what else to do.

Draw near to God,
and He will draw near to you.
Draw close to the Lord,
and let His strength come over you.

When your prayers are not answered,
and you're not sure of the path to take.
When you're standing at the crossroads,
and your decision is just too hard to make.

Draw near to God,
and He will draw near to you.
Draw close to the Lord,
and let His peace come over you.

For when we draw close to God,
and we let Jesus in our life.
He will bless us with His presence,
and help us to overcome our strife!


James 4:8
