Labor Day Lethargy
by PamFord Davis
9/05/2011 / Devotionals
There is one drawback as we celebrate Labor Day; it highlights labor. True, the majority of Americans do not work on Monday, yet we are well aware 9-5 will resume on Tuesday. Our workday grind is often laborious and taxing on our strength and stamina. Our employers trust us to generate power to produce and we try not to let them down.
Labor Day lethargy is no cause to be alarmed, sometimes even the most dependable machinery shuts down requiring routine maintenance. Take a break, be renewed and prepare to return to your place of work. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9 NIV)."
