America's borders are a current topic of conversation, a matter of concern and an issue our citizens must address. Residents of Border States turn to local law officers and border patrol agents for protection and demand tighter security from state and national government leaders. Legislation and miles of bureaucratic red tape exceed border fences; illegal immigrants have diligently searched for areas to cross our borders undetected.
The Lord detects our moves and patrols our boundaries; he enlarges our borders and carries us across to fulfillment. "Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, 'Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from hurt and harm (1 Chronicles 4:10 NRS)!" I no longer want to live on the border; I grasp the Savior's hand and trust him to expand my borders of influence and service.
