"Eat your greens, drink your milk"; moms want us to have healthy bodies and strong bones. Why do we usually crave most what benefits us least? Sweets top our list of hankering favorites, while foods and beverages with beneficial vitamins and minerals rarely cross our minds.
Multiple vitamins ease our conscience, yet the power packed foods surpass, in both potency and results. I am glad we can acquire a taste for what is good for us and actually crave it like candy. I have craved protein rich foods and hunted nuts with determination of a squirrel!
I should be as determined to meet calcium needs; osteoporosis is no joke. "Don't consider yourself to be wise; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. This will be healing to your body and strengthening for your bones (Proverbs 3:7-8 HCS)." God's milk of the word is building strong bones and I crave it more and more!
