Opening windows
In a room lacking walls.
Speaking fidelity
With a deceitful tongue.
Fitting the puzzle pieces
Without the box lid.
Dancing the waltz
In a motionless ballroom.
Seeking stability
Amid frenzied routine.
Attempting different behaviors
Among habitual patterns.
Striving for balance
Between ambivalent scales.
Recreating chaos,
Ingrained modality of survival.
I choose to stop creating chaos.
I choose to stop living in daily chaos.
I choose to stop running from my thoughts.
I choose to stop running from my past.
I choose to stop running from me.
Melissa writes about the God and human connection and condition.
