"Two is company- three's a crowd. Get lost ... Scram!" Children can be very cruel; many of us remember the demeaning words flowing from the mouths of big brothers, sisters or playmates. We had invaded their space or disturbed their concentration and we got the message. Our presence was not welcome.
We should never welcome or permit the presence of Satan or his evil spirits. James instructs Christ followers to be firm and direct in our approach to the source of conflict, halting his efforts to divide and conquer. "So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper (James 4:7 The Message)." He may yell back but show him the door. "Scram!"
