We hear much about peace on earth during the Christmas season, yearning for unity, yet cynically thinking it can never be. Man's inhumanity to fellow man mushrooms; violence claims countless victims and the golden rule tarnishes with passing of time. Lord, ease conflicts and bring us your gift of peace.
"So Jesus said to them again, 'Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.' And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit (John 20:21-22 NKJ)." The resurrected Lord appeared to His disciples with a greeting of peace. He is our peace in turmoil! The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) is worthy of worship.
